I just watched The Dark Knight Rises yesterday… It was great, and the way they used the different Batman Comics storylines to tie them into a story/film that has an ending. (we all know that Comics storylines tend to have no end. It’s a vicious cycle) The use of symbolisms for some story elements was also good, as expected from Christoper Nolan.

Traditional Chinese Doll (Request)
I’ve gone a little bit overdone on this one.
Sorry for some inaccuracies regarding the patterns on the dress. I’m also exploring an art style and coloring method.
Posting an old work (circa 2005) because I’m having a major art block, and I feel like writing.
This was the first time I incorporated my Square-Enix-influenced style and the second time I used pencils, and coloring in general.
Yes, I only started penciling and coloring/rendering my works in 2005. Before that, I was purely into inking. Straight-on-paper drawing and inking, no erasures (if possible, or I start from scratch again).
I believe that direct drawing/inking on paper/canvas sharpened my conceptualization and sketching skills, as I know that every stroke or line I make will always be final, and honed my mindset to always be accurate and precise in everything I do.
